Get onboard of the PayFit rocket by joining our Payroll Operations squad as a Confirmed Software Engineer.

This squad is part of the tribe in charge of building the low code platform called JetLang (https://backstage.payfit.com/how-low-code-platforms-changed-the-course-of-traditional-software-development). The JetLang platform is an abstraction layer used by Product Builders (https://backstage.payfit.com/establishing-the-product-builder-role-how-payfit-invented-a-new-product-job) who are modelizing/scripting collective labor agreements and building custom experiences for customers. Our tribe is currently in a growth phase in order to scale the low code platform and sustain PayFit’s growth.

In this context, our Payroll Operations squad is in charge of building services used by operational teams and Product Builders at PayFit to configure and execute best in class payroll processes for customers (declaration lifecycle management, regularization, onboarding, ...). Among these tools, we are for instance in charge of the PayFit’s BackOffice (siege of a lot of payroll related operations). In the coming months, a major objective is to build a regularization manager to handle past payroll changes that will greatly improve the PayFit experience for all our customers.

What will be your role?

We are looking for people ready to take part to our upcoming challenges.
Your day to day role will be to:

  • Design and develop services handling critical operations at PayFit
  • Work on a variety of software domains and problems (APIs, databases, user interfaces, monitoring, logging…)
  • Challenge and improve our technical stack to make sure we have the best weapons to build our product and also the best dev experience in the squad
  • Interact with the Triforce (Design x Engineering x Product) to achieve our mission together
  • Collaborate with other squads and tribes at PayFit (Engineering, Design, Product) to address broader topics within the organization
  • Contribute to PayFit engineering life by pushing improvements on core packages, speaking at internal and public events, reviewing spec proposals of other squads

This job has been tailored for you if you have the following qualities...

    • At least two years of experience as a developer with strong coding skills
    • True sense of ownership and huge willingness to contribute actively to a team
    • Systematic problem-solving approach
    • Strong communication skills (both oral and written)
    • Experience designing, analyzing, and troubleshooting distributed systems
    • Motivation to work as a fullstack engineer
    • Experience and enthusiasm for low code tools is a plus !
